A free CPD from Saint-Gobain Insulation.
In order to design and build more comfortable buildings, we must first understand the science behind ‘Thermal Comfort’. This CPD, is delivered by Saint-Gobain Insulation UK; manufacturers of a range of insulation solutions from Celotex and ISOVER.

It focuses on the understanding of human comfort and how it can be applied to buildings and the design process. You will explore how to relate the impact of thermal comfort to the benefit of your clients and their everyday well-being.
Learning objectives of this CPD include:
• Understanding the core criteria that influence the design concepts explored within module two.
• To understand human thermal comfort and its’ importance to you and your clients
• To gain an understanding of the physical factors that influence human thermal comfort
• Understanding that temperature and how we feel are not the same
• The impact of a building’s environment upon human comfort.

Thermaclass Cavity Wall 21 is an easy to install, high thermal performance polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board for full fill cavity wall applications, with a thermal conductivity of 0.021 W/m.K. It can be installed with up to a 10mm residual cavity (to support ease of installation and accommodate mortar squeeze) or as a full fill solution with no residual cavity.
